Unlike the Sahara, which is several hours' drive away, Agafay can be visited in half a day or an evening without sacrificing the change of scenery: it's a desert of stone and hills, not sand dunes, but the atmosphere and sunset light are just as spectacular. Most camps offer a daytime Day Pass (pool and lunch) or an evening Sunset Pass (dinner and show), with the option to extend into a night of glamping for those who want to enjoy the desert silence until the next morning.
